I live on a lake-shore neighboring Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, with my beloved pet; a German Shepherd of great respect!
A fine home, it provides me with all the necessary amenities for peace, entertainment and fun. What I like most about living on a lake-shore in Ontario is that my view of the water changes frequently, from being speckled with all kinds of boats to a calm, placid or white-capped wave condition. This perpetually changing perspective of nature outside my window often prompts me to contemplate this truth: "Everyone must set his own course and take the rough seas with the calm." (It's a realists view of the world and I hope it settles well with my readers??)
I am self-employed and work from my own home-based office; it's absolutely wonderful to be relinquished from indentured corporate service and now have very legitimate tax exemptions that provide a much better quality of life.
Prior to self-employment, I worked in hospitals and schools providing speech and language services. While this profession was personally fulfilling, it was also somewhat unstable because it required a perpetual contract-to-contract mentality. That's what I really found disconcerting about employment yesterday.
However, today is really the Age of the Entrepreneur and so I am very pleased to be alive, healthy and part of a positive movement that is going to sweep across North America and beyond in the near future. This is History in the Making and that is why I quit my profession to join a group of entrepreneurs who are going to change the paradigm of health care, world-wide. This is a powerful statement, yet nonetheless true and irrefutable. (A proactive approach to health and wellness then is also akin to the last bastion of free enterprise.)
This freedom has also allowed me to enjoy life more fully, by being able to come-and-go, as I please. Frequently, I tell people that "I feel like I'm 17-years-old again!" And I'm not kidding: I'm in the gym everyday, visiting with friends, traveling here-and-there and laughing a lot more...it's really great! My energy has been boosted to its zenith, like....
